The second highest peak of the High Tatras (2,634 m) and the highest point accessible by cable car in Slovakia. From Tatranská Lomnica, just 5 km from Vila Garufa, the cable car takes you to the summit in 30 minutes. At the top you will find an astronomical observatory and a 360-degree panoramic view.

The cable car has 3 sections: Tatranská Lomnica (888 m) - Štart (1,172 m) by gondola, Štart - Skalnaté pleso (1,751 m) by gondola, and Skalnaté pleso - Lomnický štít (2,634 m) by aerial tramway. Total elevation gain 1,746 m. Skalnaté pleso is worth a stop - there is a restaurant with a terrace and views.
Lomnický štít hosts an astronomical observatory of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and an observation terrace. Stay at the summit is limited to 50 minutes. Temperature even in summer rarely exceeds 15 °C. The cable car operates year-round except May (maintenance).
Tatranská Lomnica is just 5 km from Vila Garufa. Our free Mercedes shuttle bus takes you directly to the cable car station. We recommend booking tickets online a day in advance - aerial tramway capacity to the peak is limited.
